Keeping Quiet July 5, 2008

He finally did it, the straw that broke the camel’s back, la goutte qui fait deborder le vase, and now he is most definitely out of my life, out of my head, out of my mind, there’s no lovin’ there, ‘n I move on, move on, move on on on on…

Last night I had a delicious meal with Grah and Milly-Molly-Mandy, we went for tapas, and had:

- Yellow tail kingfish pancetta and lemon olive oil
- baked sardines
- salted cod (sorry, “bacalho”) with potatoes, olives and egg
- chickpeas and spinach
- shredded cabbage and mint
- baked eggplant
- a massive, very rude looking chorizo that Gramelia shared, and a yummy (albeit soaked in chorizoness) potato

All of these (apart from rude chorizo which of course I didn’t eat) were so delicious I could easily have eaten them again for lunch today, and dinner tonight, and again tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow. I think giving up meat and dairy was the best thing ever, because otherwise I would never have touched the fish dishes, and they were so delicious (specially the salted cod!!!).

And we went to the 2xHappiness afterwards, where I got to see that the bartender I thought I liked best was actually not that hot (fake suntan? yuck!) and the cute one that I didn’t go home with last time smouldered at me (part hatred, part desire, Graham agreed). Oh well.

Cici is going to a LAN party in Mildura today (I really DO understand the attraction but I have been to these things before when I was with Christophe and it really isn’t terribly fun when you’re a chick and you don’t game, I mainly got a lot of knitting done… boys who are gaming could care less about pussy). So end result is: I have nothing to do, I am cold and grumpy because of being turfed out of the house by estate agents for the house visit they had on, I still haven’t showered and I haven’t worked out two days in a row so I really must do it today or my ass will droop again… It’s lunchtime and I had a massive bowl of porridge for breakkie so I’m not sure if I need feeding again. I don’t even have plans for tonight, boo. I would be quite happy to stay at home online but internet is sporadic at best, due to me leaching off someone else’s network.

(Speaking of internet — I looked up the third hornet sting Graham, and it seems you are right. Sucks to be my sister who believes it to be true, especially when you know that my step-dad’s house is regularly invaded by hornets…)
